Tyler Martin – Business Intelligence Talk

Tuesday, November 7, 2017

Zane Showker Hall – Room 202

7:00 P.M

This session explores the cognitive and physical considerations designers make when creating user experiences. We will discuss why user experience matters, examine physiological mechanisms behind good design and look at ethical considerations to make when exploiting this knowledge. Finally, we’ll take a look at the Design Thinking framework and how to use it.

We will have two presenters at this meeting. Taylor and Tyler are both 2010 CIS alums, and both were very strong students. Both worked at Deloitte for a while. Tyler now works at an analytics company called Swoop Search. Taylor works at an advertising/branding company called Schafer Condon Carter.

Under New Management

We hope everyone is enjoying their summer. It is a great time to build your resume and skill set through internships, summer classes, or side projects; just don’t forget to add relaxation in there somewhere.

Although we still have two months of summer left, the new executive board of AIS is beginning to plan some great events for this upcoming year. There will be a number networking opportunities, presentations, and professional workshops for our members to participate in and enjoy. In order for current members and interested students to keep track of it everything, we have committed to keeping this site up to date.

We hope to see everyone at our first interest meeting in the beginning of the year! Go Dukes!
